Season 1 is the WARDOGS Early Access launch build. It changes economy prices, unlock tracks, XP progression, vehicles, voice chat and server reliability. Use the main Steam entry for the live game and do not carry Beta prices or unlock order into this build.

What Is WARDOGS Season 1?
Season 1 is the launch build for WARDOGS Steam Early Access. BULKHEAD published the Season 1 changelog on 9 September 2026, before the Early Access release shown on the Steam store.
Treat the changelog as the new baseline for prices, unlock tracks and XP pacing. A Beta screenshot or weekend-test route is historical unless the current build shows the same value.
- Current playable route: the main WARDOGS Steam entry.
- Current build boundary: Season 1 Early Access launch build.
- Use the latest official news for later hotfixes that may supersede launch values.
Which Prices and Unlocks Changed?
The official changelog separates vendor prices from progression unlocks. Read the price type before deciding whether a number changes what you buy now or what you must unlock first.
| Item | Before | Season 1 | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| FOB vendor | $2,500 | $7,500 | Budget the FOB before entering the purchase screen. |
| Large Hammer vendor | $1,600 | $2,400 | Check the current vendor price before spending. |
| Artillery Tank / SPH-2 | Career 55 · $400,000 | Career 90 · $500,000 | Treat it as a long Career-track goal. |
| URAL | Driver 4 · $50,000 | Driver 3 · $35,000 | Recheck the Driver track before planning a vehicle route. |
| Dune Buggy | Driver 10 · $35,000 | Driver 8 · $25,000 | Use the current Driver unlock, not the Beta value. |
| Kodiak Flatbed | Driver 2 · $15,000 | Driver 10 · $35,000 | Do not assume the cheaper Beta unlock still applies. |
What Changed for Progression and Vehicles?
Season 1 reworks the progression tracks rather than preserving the short Beta pacing. The Heavy Tank moves from the account-wide Career track to Driver level 35, while the Artillery Tank moves to Career level 90.
The Driver track also moves several vehicles, including URAL, Dune Buggy, URAL variants, the Humvee with minigun and the Kodiak Flatbed. Check the current track before choosing a role for an unlock goal.
- The launch XP curve is slower above level 6, with the largest listed increases in the level 10–20 range.
- Air-vehicle kills and some low-value supply-crate sales have different XP values in the launch notes.
- Each season can use a different XP curve and item order, so Season 1 routes are not permanent rules.
What Should a New Player Do First?
Use the current build as a spending decision, not as a checklist of every unlock. If your immediate goal is to join a match, read the current access and server guidance first; if your goal is to build or buy, check the cash and FOB pages before committing your balance.
Open the main Early Access entry
Use the current WARDOGS Steam entry, then let Steam finish the Season 1 client update before reading an old Beta guide.
Choose one near-term track goal
Pick the Career, Support or Driver outcome you actually want next; do not plan around every long-term unlock at once.
Check the current price type
Separate a vendor purchase from a track unlock. A cheaper unlock level does not mean the item is free or immediately available.
Recheck after a hotfix
If a later official update changes the economy, track or server behavior, update the dated table before carrying on with the old route.
If Your Beta Plan No Longer Works
If an item is missing at the old level, first compare the track and price against the Season 1 table. If the purchase is available but your balance is short, do not assume the old Beta economy or a guaranteed payout route still applies; use the current Money page and the in-game vendor state.
If the game will not let you join after updating, switch to Server Status. A launch queue or failed join is a connection state, not proof that the Season 1 content is unavailable everywhere.
